Depending on speed, the composite plastic fins generate approximately 17.1 kg of aerodynamic downforce at 300 km/h. This downforce counteracts the tendency of the front wheel to lift off the ground during acceleration. The fork maintains contact with the ground and the DTC does not need much intervention. This allows engine power to be converted into acceleration significantly and much more directly.
